Grigori Family Reserve McLaren Vale Shiraz

Our Family Reserve collection is the culmination of over 50 years of Grigoriou family wine making tradition. Selected vineyards are chosen in Australian’s most prized wine region to create single site wines of substance and longevity.


This wine is rich, deep and purple/ red in colour with a generous bouquet of pepper and spicy red fruits. The nose offers a complex, bouquet of fruit and spice, with coconut and blackcurrant,
enhanced by toasty cigar box nuances produced by oak maturation. The palate is a highlight of the wine exhibiting bright black cherry, balanced by a leathery earthiness with fine tannins.

The fruit for this wine was harvested from the D’Aloia vineyards with careful row selection yielding the best possible parcels for use in this blend. The fruit was harvested within the range of

The grapes were crushed and fermented on skins under controlled temperatures for extraction of deep colour, fruit flavours and to produce a rich full bodied structure. The fermenting wine was drained and gently pressed from skins once dry. The wine was stored under controlled temperature conditions to preserve fresh fruit characters. Free run wine was used in preferenceto the pressing fraction to avoid any harshness and to maintain the clarity of the fruit character.
